Mountain Trail Horse Classic
****POSTPONED Until 2012*****
Join us for our 7th annual Event in Scenic Baker City, Oregon!
Weekend Of Family Fun
Come and stay at the ranch where you can pitch a tent or park your RV and take in the 360-degree views! It is a weekend filled with lots of family and friends and exciting events. Friday and Saturday evening both offer get-together dinners at the barn where there are sure to be lots of friends made! There are shade tents and chairs set up for ample viewing of the competition. Come rain or shine, we are all sure to have a great time!
What is the MTHC?
The MTHC is an all natural, outdoor trail course where we replicate the typical obstacles one finds while trail riding in the mountains and condense them into a one acre course for horse and rider. The variety of classes offer a broad range of challenges based upon the skill level of the contestants and their horses.
How are you judged?
Horses and riders are judged as a team on their ease, poise and confidence as they navigate each obstacle. Classes have 10-15 obstacles ranging in difficulty from easy to extremely difficult, enabling horses and riders of every level to compete. Safety is our number one priority – every obstacle is safe and secure!!
Itinerary
Each day begins with the course walk-thru at 8:00 am where contestants may ask the course designers and judges questions about their course, at this time spectators are also welcome to walk the course. 9:00 am is official start time and the first contestant will enter the course.
Be sure to join us for the Friday night Meet "n Greet Potluck in the barn! Saturday night we will be hosting a BBQ for all who would like to attend, the cost is $10 per person/plate. Concessions are available during show hours as well.
