Although Topaz is bred for barrel racing & cattle cutting, she has mainly been used as a recreational trail horse. She's been ridden in the high country of the, Sisters Mountains of Oregon, Sawtooth's in Idaho, Selway-Bitteroot Wilderness, Salmon-Priest Wilderness, & many others. As well as ridden over the competition trail course of the Mountain Trail Horse Classic in Baker City, OR.  Topaz will eagerly do anything she is asked, including, crossing water, high-line/picket, & is easy around 4-wheelers. She is a great trail horse, but her passions are working cattle & competing. She has lots of go & would excel extremely well in both of these areas. When working cattle, Topaz is quiet in the herd, watches the cow, & if you need to head-off a yearling, she is very cowy & gets right with the program! Topaz has a gorgeous conformation & awesome mind, along with her buckskin color & baby-doll head. She is well-muscled, athletic, gentle & affectionate, yet full of energy. She works great from leg cues. Topaz's Great Grand Sire was the QHA Montana State high point barrel racing & working cow horse in 1975. In 1976 he was the high point barrel racing, high point pole-bending, & reserve champion reining horse. Topaz is UTD on West Nile, influenza, & worming. Bathes, loads, & shoes easily. Experienced Riders.
